Garlic Oil Softgels

The Health Benefits of Garlic Oil Softgels

Garlic has for many years been known for its therapeutic qualities. You don’t have to consume a ton of the stron-smelling garlic to enjoy its health benefits, though. Garlic oil softgels provide all of the health rewards of garlic, without any of the undesired effects (i.e. strong odors, indigestion).

There are many health advantages to taking garlic oil softgels. Garlic has been shown to lower cholesterol levels and reduce hypertension (high blood pressure), thus lessening the risk of heart disease, a condition which claims the lives of over 700,000 each year in the United States alone. Garlic has also been shown to reduce the risk of developing cancer, in particular, prostate and stomach cancer. Also, it has been said to possess antibiotic and antifungal qualities, but these attributes have not been irrefutably proven.

There is a long list of the lesser health concerns which have been treated by home remedies involving garlic in dried or cooked forms. Allergies, toothaches, and coughs are just a few of the minor ailments which show improvement after consumption or application of garlic products.

There are few side effects of garlic. The most severe irritation occurs in few individuals and only with the use of actual garlic, not with garlic softgels. The stomach irritation and heart burn which is reported commonly from those who have consumed garlic are absent when taking garlic supplements. Consumers should be cautious, however, when taking a prescription or over-the-counter blood thinner (i.e. aspirin). Since garlic serves as a reducer of hypertension, it tends to thin the blood, meaning that those on an aspirin regiment could be at great risk of high blood loss should they take garlic oil softgels and get cut or in an accident. Always seek medical guidance when considering a new product in your daily routine.
